We specialize in locally harvested timber products, including lodgepole (aka "beetle kill" and "blue stain") pine, Engleman spruce, douglas fir, and aspen. We are also one of the last circle saw mills operating in the United States. Our rough lumber is coveted for both interior an exterior projects because the circle saw marks are reminiscent of reclaimed wood. 

A note regarding our return policies:

  • We accept exchanges within 2 weeks of purchase, with a 10% re-stocking fee. MATERIALS MUST BE RETURNED AT THE TIME OF EXCHANGE. Materials must be in the original condition.
  • We do not offer refunds.
  • We do not accept returns on special orders.

Native Colorado Wood Types Available

Douglas Fir

Douglas Fir

Color is light brown with darker growth rings and contains hints of yellow and/or red.
Engelmann Spruce

Engelmann Spruce

Engelmann Spruce is a cream to white color (shown here stained) and is used for indoor general construction.
Lodgepole Pine

Lodgepole Pine

Heartwood is light reddish/yellowish brown, sapwood is yellowish white.
Aspen

Aspen

Heartwood tends to be a light brown. Wide sapwood is a pale yellow to nearly white, and isn’t clearly demarcated, tending to gradually blend into the heartwood.

"Blue Stain" Pine

"Blue stain" or "beetle kill" pine is lodgepole pine that has been killed by the mountain pine beetle. The byproduct of this bark beetle is a beautiful blue coloring (stain) in much of the dead-standing pine we harvest.
